Your company took out cover for its travel. This page tells you what it covers, what is expected of you on the day it happens, and when it stops.
Amounts come from the table of benefits (special conditions 01.26), rules from their article in the general conditions.
Emergency medical costs abroad up to CHF/EUR/USD 1,500,000, unlimited medical evacuation and repatriation, unlimited repatriation of remains. One number, answered 24/7, backed by 45,000 medical providers.
« Les couvertures cessent leur effet de plein droit, sans autre avis, à la date à laquelle l'assuré ne fait plus partie du personnel du preneur d'assurance » (art. 35.1). Without further notice: nobody will tell you the day it stops.
The policy's liability cover only applies to damage « n'étant pas en relation avec l'activité professionnelle », and the policy states that you undertake to hold your own private liability insurance. Without it, « l'Assureur est en droit de refuser ou limiter la prestation » (art. 27.1).
Call the number before doing anything else. Have a doctor certify on the same day — without a certificate at the time, the event is entirely excluded (art. 33). Organise nothing yourself. And report within thirty days (art. 35.7).
Two places, depending on what you are looking for — and a third if you want cover that does not depend on your job.
What to do, and the number →Open my insured area
Your area only exists if your employer took out a named policy for you. On a pack covering a headcount without a list of names, your company holds the collective certificate: ask them for it.
Take out a policy in my own name → — it follows you when you change employer, and it also covers your private trips.
The emergency number and your insured card if your policy is named — it is in your area and goes on your phone's home screen. Keep your health insurance card too: the cover is complementary to your basic cover (art. 4.1).
That depends on the option your employer retained on its policy (art. 2.6.1). Ask them — and if you would rather not have to, a policy in your own name covers your private trips.
Cover ceases that same day, by operation of law and without notice (art. 35.1). There is no notice period and no grace period.
They see the ones they register themselves: that register is what proves they met their duty of care. They see neither your medical data nor the content of a claim file.
