Who underwrites Maximum Insurance?

Maximum Insurance is the brand of WinHealth (FINMA no. F01210623). The risk is carried by a Swiss insurance company, under collective policy no 20 00 479. The worldwide medical network counts 45,000 medical providers.

How much does Maximum Insurance cost?

The Maximum Insurance VIP Pack costs 990 € for twelve months, with unlimited trips within the year. The VIP Extreme Pack costs 2 290 € for twelve months: it adds cancellation up to EUR 20,000 and special risk (Module A) up to EUR 5,000 per person. Crisis management & security and Kidnap & Ransom (GC art. 18.4) remain subject to eligibility.

Who can subscribe?

Anyone can subscribe online, in three minutes: for yourself, for your relatives (up to ten insureds on one policy) or for your self-employed business. A name, a date of birth and a nationality are enough: no medical questionnaire.

Am I covered in a country formally advised against?

Yes: the Maximum Insurance VIP Pack, underwritten by a Swiss insurer, covers countries formally advised against — EUR 1.5 million in emergency medical expenses and unlimited medical repatriation. The official alert level of all 207 countries is checked every morning on the Maximum alerts map.

Is the visa certificate included?

Yes. Every individual Maximum Insurance subscription includes the official named insurance certificate, in the format visa applications require, Schengen included; it is issued as soon as payment is made. The company pack asks for no names, so it provides a general certificate covering the chosen headcount rather than a named one.

What happens if I am hospitalised abroad?

You call your contract's single emergency line (+41 22 ••• •• •• — full number on your insured card and in your client area), answered 24 hours a day. In hospital, Maximum Insurance applies the direct payment guarantee: the insurer issues an undertaking to the hospital and settles the bill, instead of asking you to pay upfront and claim the money back. Emergency medical expenses are covered up to EUR 1,500,000, and medical evacuation and repatriation are unlimited.
